tata indicom data card

i got my tata indicom data card delivered today, so dont be surprised if i login on IRC around midnight even

this one's a Huawei EC321 CDMA card, and works just out of the box. plug it into your pcmcia slot and kernel 2.6 will recognise it as a usb device. you can now configure your dialer to use /dev/ttyUSB0 device to dial indicom dialup number #777.

my wvdial.conf file is pretty simple:



[Dialer Defaults]

Init1 = ATZ

Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1; &D2; +FCLASS=0

Modem Type = Analog Modem

Baud = 460800

New PPPD = yes

Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0

ISDN = 0

Phone = #777

Password = internet

Username = internet

the speed i get with this card is around 140Kbps. That's around the maximum speed this card can support.
